Our sweet baby boy!

Gabriel is such a blessing. He's a wonderful little boy. He is always happy and laughing. He loves to "talk" and "sing". Everyday home from "school" we sing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and he sings right along with me. We also sing the Alphabet song and I'll say a few nursery rhymes.

Ready, Set, Crawl!

Gabriel is almost crawling. He's mastered going backwards and rolling around. Now if we could just get him to go forward.

The future Van Gogh

We thought, no mommy, thought it would be fun to introduce finger paints to a 7 month old! Ha! Joke was on her!!! Gabriel was stripped to nothing but his diaper and put in his high chair and the paints were poured onto a plastic plate. The most challenging part of the 5 minutes of painting was keeping his hands off his face and out of his mouth and eyes! He did quite well I think. So well that we're going to frame his first masterpiece.

Look at the sweet little face! Too bad you can't see his 2 teeth.

Tractor ride with Pop Paw

On our last trip to Murray Pop Paw gave Gabriel a ride on the big Tractor. Pop Paw said Gabriel was too busy trying to grab the controls at the floorboard to enjoy the ride but momma sure enjoyed the photo opportunity!

Feeding Time

Gabriel has become Mr. Independent. One night he kept trying to take the spoon away from my hand to feed himself so I just gave it to him. About 20 minutes and a big mess later we discovered that he didn't quite have the hand and mouth coordination, but he sure tried! He's such a cutie pie!

It's been a while

Okay, so it's been a while since I've posted anything on here. Good news is, the bathroom is almost finished so hopefully our lives will get back to "normal." Here lately Gabriel has gotten a lot more moble. We had him playing in the living room floor last night and before I knew it he was across the room. He's learned to roll like no man's business. He's also preparing himself to crawl. He's got going backwards down pat, if we could just teach him to move in the right direction. Oh! We experimented with finger paints the other night. It was a lot messier than I imagined. Thankfully we stripped him down to his diaper and put him in his high chair. He had a blast though, he was a little sad when he couldn't eat it. He's at the stage where everything goes in his mouth. Last night I was trying to look at a magazing and I had him in my lap trying to entertain him. He managed to rip out a page or two, guess he didn't want me reading those pages! Then he proceeded to stuff them in his mouth. Yuck. For Labor Day weekend we went to Murray and spent time with Grammy and Pop Paw. We went to a family reunion on Saturday in Milan, TN. Needless to say we didn't see much of Gabriel. He kept being taken away from us by relatives. He loved everybody there! We had a blast watching all the kids play and ride on the 4wheeler! I'm so glad we were able to be a part of this get together. Gabriel took his first tractor ride with Pop-Paw over the weekend. I don't know who had more fun, Gabriel or Pop-Paw! Too cute. Pictures are coming soon!
