It's that time of year

It's hard to believe that Christmas is upon us. I love Christmas time! Spending time with family and friends is always the best part. This time next year we'll be celebrating with a 10 month old, hard to believe. I'm 31 1/2 weeks, that means 8 1/2 weeks to go. So far the pregnancy has flown. The nursery is coming together and we're all anxiously awaiting the arrival of this little bundle of joy!

30 weeks and counting

So today marked the begining of my 30th week. It's hard to believe how quickly time has flown. I'm going to the doctor every two weeks now. I went today, passed my Glucose Tolerance test with flying colors! What a relief.

A waiting game

So this week has been a little challenging. Matt left Monday morning at 6 am and headed to Vincinnes, IN, leaving his 6 1/2 month pregnant wife home alone with the dog and the cat. That morning Bailey decided to chase a poor kitten up a tree in our backyard, quite interesting I might say. The real kicker was that my computer completely crashed at work on Monday afternoon. Not fun. Luckily there was a spare computer in the office so I could at least do a few things, but not all of my regular duties. So that pretty much sums up Monday for me. Tuesday was a different story, I got CPR Certified at work and then after lunch my new computer was installed! Spent most of Tuesday afternoon playing catch up with what I couldn't do on Monday. Oh, did I mention I've started having Braxton Hicks Contractions? Yeah, I probably had 3 or 4 after lunch on Tuesday. Nothing interesting happened at the house last night, thankfully. Bailey and I watched The Santa Clause 3, The Escape Clause and hit the hay around 9. Today has been good so far I have my first childbirth class tonight, thankfully I have a wonderful friend and co-worker who is ever so kind to accompany me to my class tonight since Matt is out of town. Tomorrow mom and dad (and sweetie- their dog) drive up from South Carolina for a visit. So I am looking forward to having company starting Thursday night!!!!!!! Then Friday Matt comes home and Jen comes in from Chicago!!!!!!! Then Saturday my friends are throwing a Baby Shower!!! I can't wait to see everybody.

Wonderful time with my wonderful husband

So this weekend was my 27th birthday. I can't believe how quickly time has flown. Not only am I 27, but I'm also 27 weeks. This was probably one of the best birthdays I've had in a while, mainly because as Lauren put it, the best birthday present is just a few months away. I hadn't thought about it like that, but Lauren is so right. Of all the material things in the world I could ever ask for, God has blessed us with something so much more special. This weekend was a great one. Friday Matt took what we hope is his final test for his CPA, we spent hours at Babies R Us, and he took me to O'Charley's where I had probably one of the best steaks I've ever put in my mouth. Saturday Matt and I worked on the nursery and just spent time together. Sunday Matt, did I mention how wonderful he is, painted and installed the nursery's new closet doors and painted the trim. He even put up our Christmas lights outside. Needless to say that by the end of the night we were exhausted. Note to self: when eating during the later part of pregnancy do not overstuff yourself. The evening was not pleasant for me....... but I did learn a lesson! Never eat 4 pieces of pizza in one setting at a time.

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I last posted something. I had a goal of doing at least weekly updates, that hasn't happened so far. I guess we have a lot to catch up on. The time is flying by it's hard to believe that I'm already 26 1/2 weeks. Wow, 13 1/2 weeks to go! This past Saturday Matt and I drove down to Nashville to see our friends Lauren and Jeremy and their precious almost 5 month old baby, Braxton. Now Braxton is a precious child. He just smiled and grinned the whole time we were there. He's such a good baby. Lauren and Jeremy are so blessed. While we were in Nashville we had to go to the UT store at Opry Mills and we picked out the sweetest UT Onzie for our baby to wear for the hospital pictures. Since we don't know the gender it's hard to plan ahead, so we figured UT was very gender neutral. Let me tell you, this baby will be the smallest UT fan ever! To top it off, we received UT pacifers from some friends a few weeks ago as a gift. So between the UT Onzie and the pacy we'll be good to go. After Opry Mills we headed over to Pied Piper's in East Nashville to have some professional maternity photos made. We had a blast!!!! One picture is posted, of course this is what the photographer calls a "Sneak Peek" so there will be lots more to come later!!!

24 weeks and counting

I am 24 weeks pregnant, yes, that means 16 more weeks till baby Hinton arrives!!!! I am getting bigger almost every day, as well as my appetite. This weekend is the only weekend in November that we don't have plans. I can't believe Thanksgiving is in 3 weeks, this year has flown. I was on vacation last week, of course I was sick the entire time, but it was still nice being off. I did manage, however, to finish my Christmas shopping so that was a relief. Now we're just waiting for Christmas to be here. I also decided this week that I have got to start going to the gym.
